Graffiti is becoming an increasing problem for many property owners and managers. Presently, graffiti is the most common form of vandalism and it can have serious long-lasting impacts on the aesthetics of a property. Often, once graffiti starts to appear, more graffiti swiftly follows. If graffiti removal does not commence promptly, it can give the impression that a building is neglected which consequently, can lead to more vandalism and can even devalue the property.
In Brighton & Hove, as part of the Council’s Graffiti Reduction Strategy, commercial property owners will be issued with a Community Protection Warning if there is graffiti on their property. The Council will give them a timescale for graffiti removal, depending on size, height of placement and whether any specialist equipment is required.
The sooner graffiti removal begins, the better the outcome. Over time, the solvents used in graffiti can seep into the surface and become absorbed by the brick or concrete; making it much harder to completely remove and thus ideally, graffiti removal should commence as soon as it has been spotted. Our specialist methods make it possible to remove all traces of graffiti as well as dealing with graffiti shadowing, also commonly referred to as ghosting. It can be very difficult to effectively remove graffiti whilst also ensuring the surfaces are not damaged in the process.
Fortunately, CPL t/a Rainbow Restoration offers graffiti removal solutions that are gentle on surfaces and provide fantastic results on stone, brick, concrete, metal and tiles. We offer graffiti removal services across the South East including, London, Brighton, Surrey, Hastings, Sussex, Kent, East Sussex, and more!

DOFF is a gentle form of steam cleaning that is renowned in the specialist cleaning services industry for its effectiveness at removing a range of tough substances such as:
DOFF uses a steam-based system which uses high temperature steam but not high pressures, to achieve exceptional cleaning results. It heats the water to 150°C, the pressure and temperature of the water can be adjusted easily by the operator, making DOFF an extremely versatile solution to remove graffiti. This system uses low volumes of water, therefore the surface will be dry within minutes, as it has not been saturated as well as providing less water ingression opportunities. As the water and steam are such high temperatures it often means chemicals or cleaning products are not required for removing the graffiti, so this system can be considered environmentally friendly as well as energy efficient.
Once graffiti has been removed, we offer customers the option of anti-graffiti coatings to ensure protection of the property. We especially recommend these preventative coatings for areas that are more prone to vandalism. These durable coatings offer effective protection as they prevent graffiti from properly adhering to the surface – which also reduces the clean-up time for any graffiti in the future.
