As one of the UK’s leading Health & Safety Accreditations, Safe Contractor looks at quality management, sustainability, financial stability, equality, right to work, anti-bribery and modern slavery. It recognises health & safety management standards amongst contractors, suppliers and in construction. It also highlights our commitment to Health & Safety and reducing risk through the supply chain. We also received their Gold Sustainability Award which runs alongside the Safe Contractor Accreditation to recognise our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices. The Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP) pulls together several different Health & Safety schemes under the one umbrella, to combine them into a single certification process which is known as 'SSIP Certification'. The scheme is approved and recognised by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and Safe Contractor is one of the founding members, which we hold a valid accreditation for.
British Damage Management Association (BDMA) Accreditation is widely respected, providing confidence across the entire supply chain, including customers and service users. Many of our technicians are BDMA accredited, which gives our customers added confidence in their ability as a damage management professional, thus raising industry standards.
We work with bSure who are experts in tackling the risks of asbestos. Our technicians have undertaken bSure's asbestos awareness training and accreditation programme to develop their knowledge in the hazards and risks associated with asbestos. In addition, bSure provide our technicians with advanced technical support to keep our team up to date with the latest legislation, regulations and governance. We can benefit from bSure's asbestos sample testing service, once our technicians are trained and certified in taking asbestos samples, allowing us to provide our customer's results within just 48 hours.
International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is one of the most recognised governing bodies, when it comes to using Powered Access Equipment or MEWP’s (Mobile Elevating Working Platforms). We have trained technicians that have undertaken IPAF's high quality operator training and, as a result, hold valid Powered Access Licence (PAL) cards.
PASMA is the international not for profit association for the mobile access tower industry. Representing the interests of manufacturers, suppliers, specifiers and users, it provides and oversees the industry standard training scheme and is a major publisher of safety-related knowledge, information and guidance. Our technicians undertake the PASMA course and exam to ensure they are competent to perform tasks in respect of access towers.
Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is the leading skills certification scheme within the construction industry in the UK. CSCS cards provide proof that an individual working on a construction site has the relevant qualifications and training for their job, which in turn helps to improve standards and safety in the UK construction sectorto ensure we comply with the strict safety guidelines. Most contractors require workers on their construction sites to hold valid CSCS cards which many of our technicians hold.
We have been awarded the rosette distinction from Stonehealth as an approved DOFF contractor. Our team of highly skilled technicians are regularly monitored to ensure they maintain the required rosette standards and undertake regular training with Stonehealth when using the exceptionally robust DOFF steam cleaning system.
This shows the company meets industry standards and has been assessed against quality, environmental, equal opportunities, modern slavery act adherence and anti-bribery policies. Constructionline Gold provides increased scrutiny around governance and risk management and is the industry standard, whilst meeting the PAS91 and Common Assessment Standard often required by both the public and private sector.
